Meet Auggie. He is an adorable Dachshund we first met in June when he came to BVNS Rockville after being severely paralyzed in his hind legs. Dr. Lipitz performed an MRI and diagnosed Auggie with an intervertebral disc herniation. Spinal surgery was performed that same day for treatment.

Auggie has recovered amazingly well. Here he is at his 6 week post op recheck examination. He is comfortable and not only is he able to walk, he is also able to run around!

Auggie’s family was kind enough to bring chocolates and a thank you note to the BVNS team. We are so happy that he is back to his playful, fun-loving self!
