This beautiful working girl is Boudica. In March, her owners noticed that she was slowing down and was unwilling to jump on furniture. Her primary care veterinarian, Dr. Phillips of Woodbridge Animal Hospital, referred her to BVNS.
An MRI revealed a severe disc extrusion. The decision was made that Boudica would have surgery, but would also need to retire. Dr. Barker performed a dorsal laminectomy and Boudica was back home in just a few short days.
Boudica returned for her 6-week recheck and she is progressing wonderfully! Her mom tells us, “Boudica is improving every day and we owe it all to Dr. Barker and her team, thank you!”
