This cute little guy is Bruno. In July, Bruno was suddenly unable to walk. Upon arrival at BVNS Atlanta, Bruno wasn’t eating and was dragging both rear legs. After a neurological examination, Dr. Neary suspected Bruno had a problem that was affecting his spinal cord. An MRI was performed which revealed that Bruno had a Type 1 disc extrusion causing spinal cord compression. Dr. Neary performed surgery the same day to decompress the spinal cord and Bruno was able to go home just 2 days later!

Here he is at his 2-week post-op staple removal! Bruno’s parents tell us he’s been doing great at home! He was strongly ambulatory with only mild weakness and he is very comfortable. We’re happy to see Bruno doing so well and recovering nicely at home. Thank you to Dr. Sherry Hilton from Jones Bridge Animal Hospital for referring Bruno to us.
