Chico, this cute little 8-year- old Chihuahua, came to BVNS Springfield in July with a long history of neck pain and thoracic limb weakness. Chico was tetraparetic, had difficulty walking and medications were no longer helping.

An MRI showed a large herniated disc in Chico’s cervical spine and Dr. Barker performed surgery that same day.

This picture was just taken of Chico at his 6-week recheck. He looks fantastic and his family reports this is the happiest they have seen him in a very long time. We are all very happy to see him doing so well!
