Fergie was diagnosed with Caudal Occipital Malformation Syndrome and Dr. Barker performed a Foramen Magnum Decompression surgery. Just six weeks later, her mom sent us this fantastic video of Fergie “Dreaming of Dr. Barker.”
Fergie’s mom added that, “Since the surgery, the most noticeable and immediate progress was with her eyes. The whites of her eyes are so incredibly clear and white. Her hearing has defiantly improved (although it is selective). I can run my hand down her back without her flinching and she is able to go up steps without pain. Her licking at night is minimized and she seems so much happier. I know she misses going to doggie day care and seeing her friends and playing with all her toys but we know that happen when she is fully healed. The surgery was the right decision for her, and the improvement in her health and quality of life is my proof. Thank you again.”
