This sweet girl is Lola. At only 10 months of age, she came to BVNS Atlanta for fever, weakness, and ataxia. Dr. Neary performed an MRI and spinal tap and they were consistent with inflammatory spinal cord disease known as meningomyelitis of unknown etiology (MUE).

Here she is at her 1 month recheck appointment and she has been doing great! Lola hasn’t shown any signs of neurologic decline since her last visit and is now back to playing with her sister at home. We are thrilled to see this precious girl with so much more energy than when she first came in to see us and hope she continues to do well!
