Anesthetic Drugs
Heather Carter LVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia)

Using appropriate vocabulary with anesthetic drugs ensures patient and staff safety. Combining that vocabulary with foundational knowledge of anesthetic drugs provides an organization with the ability to provide high quality patient care. This knowledge also creates an independent and confident support staff. For example, understanding the difference between potency and efficacy demonstrates a recognition of methods and applications of common anesthetic drugs.

For this issue of the Neurotransmitter 2.0 Technically Speaking, we are inviting all support staff to test their knowledge of anesthetic drugs. The following crossword contains clues describing commonly used drugs or nomenclature that may be underutilized in a hospital setting. We hope this will assist with the understanding of these words and terms by providing them in a format that encourages retention.

But wait…there’s more.
