Cinnamon’s family noticed she was reluctant to jump up onto the couch and took her to Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic and they referred her to BVNS Atlanta for a neurological exam and diagnostics. Dr. Akin performed a full neurologic exam and she suspected intervertebral disc disease. An MRI was performed and revealed a slipped disc at T12-T13 causing spinal cord compression.

Cinnamon went into surgery the same day following her MRI. After just two nights in hospital, Cinnamon was walking – only a little week and wobbly in her back legs.

At her 2 week recheck appointment, Cinnamon proudly walked into the clinic. Her family reports that she was doing very well and was even back to her old tricks and chasing rabbits in the back yard!
