Farfalina came to BVNS Richmond after back and neck pain led to both hind legs becoming paralyzed. She also had no bladder or bowel control. Her MRI showed a ruptured disc and fragments of that had compressed her spinal cord, causing a blood vessel to break. Her family elected to have spinal surgery, knowing that she only had a 50% of regaining the use of her hind legs.

After two weeks of strict crate rest and the exercises prescribed, she showed signs that she could feel her legs. Farfalina is currently at the 5 week mark post-surgery and she’s walking! In fact, Farfalina is getting better every day. Can you tell we all love her?!?
