This handsome guy is Patches. Patches came BVNS Atlanta in December in pain and unable to use his rear legs. An MRI revealed a slipped disc causing spinal cord compression. Patches had a hemilaminectomy following his MRI to relieve his discomfort and decompress the spinal cord. During his recovery in hospital, Patches’ tail would not stop wagging and he brought smiles to all of our staff. Patches went home a couple days later to recover with his family.
At his 6 week post-operative recheck with Dr. Akin, he is happy to be pain free and cannot wait to be able to exercise more! His tail continues to wag and we were so happy to see him again at his recheck. We wish Patches the best of luck during the rest of his recovery.
