This loving dachshund named Reese came to our Woodstock location for paralysis of her back legs. Dr. Akin’s examination was consistent with a problem affecting the middle of her back. An MRI was performed and revealed a disc herniation at T12-T13 causing moderate spinal cord compression. Reese had back surgery done that day to help the alleviate pain and pressure on her spinal cord. Reese left our hospital a few days later to recover with her friends at Sweetwater Creek Animal Hospital.

This is Reese at her 6 week post-operative recheck where she thanked us with unlimited kisses. She is so happy that she is able to walk again and is no longer in any discomfort! We are thrilled with her progress thus far and wish her the best of luck during the rest of her recovery.
