This is Bright Eyes, a 5 year old Chihuahua who was seen at BVNS Leesburg for investigation of possible Megaesophagus. She and her dog brother were attacked by another dog in February and sadly her brother didn’t make it. Bright Eyes was relinquished to Middleburg Humane Foundation for treatment.

Bright Eyes was recovering well until she started having a severe coughing episode. She was taken to The Small Animal Clinic at Piedmont Equine where radiographs were performed and she was then referred to BVNS. She is a super sweet little girl who worms her way into everyone’s heart. We are hopeful that by following feeding protocols for Megaesophagus, she will have a long and happy life in her new home.
