When Corey came to BVNS Atlanta, he was weak in his back legs and was having difficulty walking. Using MRI technology, Dr. Akin diagnosed Corey with a disc herniation. Dr. Akin performed a hemilaminectomy the same day and removed a large amount of disc material and hemorrhage to ease compression on the spinal cord.

This is Corey at his 2 week post-operative recheck. He is now pain-free and getting back to his normal life thanks to the help of Dr. Akin and his dedicated family. We would also like to thank Dr. Stacy from The Village Vets for sending Corey our way!
