Daisy JonesIn June 2014, Daisy fell off the sofa and injured her neck. She was treated at Sycamore Veterinary Hospital by Dr. Martin with medications and laser therapy. Unfortunately, this didn’t accomplish the results they were hoping for. As the weeks went, by she continued to worsen to the point that she was not walking as much and was in extreme discomfort. Upon referral from Dr. Martin in mid July, Daisy came to BVNS Richmond see Dr. Young. An MRI was performed which revealed a C5-6 disk extrusion with moderate compression. A ventral slot was performed that afternoon with wonderful success. Following decompression surgery, Daisy did well and was able to go home three days later. She was up and walking with no hesitation and no vocalization.

Daisy returned for 6-week recheck examination. Her dad states that Daisy is doing really well at home and she hasn’t had to take any medications for the past four weeks and has seemed very comfortable. As you can see, Daisy came right into the room and made herself perfectly comfortable while Dr. Young examined and talked with dad. We are all very pleased with how well she has done.
