Gabby was referred to BVNS Atlanta from Cherokee Emergency Veterinary Clinic. She was in quite a bit of pain and was unable to use her pelvic limbs.
Dr. Neary’s neurologic examination localized Gabby’s problem to her middle back. Using MRI technology, Dr. Neary diagnosed Gabby with a disc herniation causing severe spinal cord compression. A hemilaminectomy was performed under the same anesthetic episode and Gabby went home two days later.
This is Gabby at her 6 week post-operative recheck. She is now pain-free, neurologically normal, and is returning to normal life with her family. We are thrilled with Gabby’s progress and wish her the best of luck!
