Hobbes came to BVNS Atlanta for back pain and progressive weakness of his rear limbs. Dr. Akin’s examination found that Hobbes’ deficits localized to the middle of his back. Dr. Akin diagnosed Hobbes with spinal cord compression secondary to disc disease using an MRI and a hemilaminectomy was performed later that day.
This is Hobbes at his 2 week recheck and staple removal. Since his surgery, Hobbes has been doing great and is getting around well. We are thrilled with his progress thus far! Thank you Dr. Reid at Briarcliff Animal Clinic for your referral!
