This sweet girl is Lucy. Lucy came to BVNS Atlanta in early May for being unable to use her rear limbs. After Dr. Akin’s neurologic examination, an MRI was performed which revealed a disc rupture in her back causing severe spinal cord compression. Lucy’s family elected to pursue surgery that same day.

This is Lucy at her 6 week post-operative recheck with Dr. Akin. She is now able to use her rear limbs! We are thrilled with Lucy’s progress thus far and wish her the best of luck on her road to recovery!
