This is Nellie. She came to BVNS Atlanta for severe neck pain and could not move her neck or head. Dr. Akin started Nellie out with medications to help with the pain and inflammation.

Nellie then had an MRI that revealed a disc extrusion in her neck causing severe spinal cord compression. She had surgery performed that very day, with Dr. Neary, to decompress the spinal cord.
Nellie went home two days later acting as if nothing had ever happened! She was moving her head and neck around comfortably and even tried to jump into our laps! Silly girl. She recently returned for a recheck and she still continues to do well!
