This handsome boy is Simba! He initially came to BVNS Atlanta in September for seizure activity. Dr. Akin performed an MRI to try and uncover the cause of Simba’s seizures, but there were no significant abnormalities identified to explain the reported clinical signs. This lead to a probable diagnosis of juvenile epilepsy. Simba was started on anticonvulsant medications to help control the seizures.
Here is Simba at his 1 month recheck exam where he has continued to gradually improve. His seizures are more controlled and mild compared to when he first came to visit us. We’re always happy to see Simba with those adorable ears and continue to wish him the best in the future!
