Whitman had been normal only three days before coming to see us at BVNS Woodstock. He had been weak and wobbly in his hind end, but he had gotten worse the morning of his appointment.
He was diagnosed with a severe spinal cord compression and internal concussive injury thanks to the help of an MRI performed by Dr. Casey Neary. Whitman underwent a hemilaminectomy and went home two days later. He was very comfortable on his day of discharge though still unable to walk, which is very normal for this kind of spinal cord injury.
When he returned for his recheck, he was walking tremendously! His mom noted that he was doing extremely well at home and Dr. Neary reported that he looked great!
