lumosLumos came to BVNS Springfield in February with a two week history of left sided facial drooping, mild left sided head tilt, the inability to blink his left eye, and some mild ataxia.

After an MRI of his brain was completed, he was diagnosed with idiopathic facial nerve paralysis which is equivalent to Bell’s Palsy in people and although we don’t know why some dogs get it, it generally resolves on its own with time.

Today, Lumos and his family stopped by to say hello and to show Dr. Barker how well he was doing; He can now blink, no longer has any drooping of his face, and acts like nothing ever happened!
