This handsome little fella is Shiloh who came to BVNS Atlanta for severe neck pain. He was very tense and had been randomly yelping in pain for about a month. He had gotten so painful that he cried out just having his collar put on. He could walk normally, but could not raise his head. Medications were no longer working.
After a neurological examination with Dr. Akin, an MRI was recommended and performed. The MRI revealed that Shiloh had slipped discs at both the C3-C4 and C5-C6 disc spaces. Dr. Akin performed a ventral slot surgery to decompress the spinal cord at these specific sites.
Here is Shiloh at his 2-week post-op exam and he is doing fantastic! He is now fully ambulatory and comfortable. Shiloh is a sweet and loving little guy and we are so glad that he is no longer in pain.
