You may recognize this loving family. Roxie came to BVNS Woodstock in June of 2018 and was recently featured on our Facebook page; however, what you might not know is that her sister, Cocoa, had already paved the way in September 2017. Unfortunately, being both adorable Dachshunds, they are predisposed to intervertebral disc disease. Dr. Akin has performed hemilaminectomy surgery on both sweet girls. Roxie is so lucky to have a sweet sister to hold her paw through the process.

Cocoa and Roxie are doing great and have the most amazing family that would go to the moon and back for their sweet Dachshunds. Keep improving every day, girls, and we will keep checking in on your progress!
