Hamlet initially came to BVNS Atlanta in June 2017 for neck pain and absent postural reactions in his hind limbs. His MRI showed multiple congenital vertebral abnormalities and mild compression in his mid-thoracic spine. Hamlet underwent medical management at that time and improved greatly.
Unfortunately, Hamlet came back to BVNS Atlanta in late August 2018 for significant back pain. His MRI at that time revealed intervertebral disc disease. Dr. Akin performed a hemilaminectomy that same day following his MRI. Hamlet went home a few days later and was able to move around, with mild weakness in his pelvic limbs.
This is Hamlet at his 2 week recheck and suture removal. He is doing great, back to his normal self, and pain-free. We wish Hamlet a speedy recovery and all the best in the future!
